Really only recommendable! Really delicious food at a really good price. We paid a total of just under € 90.00 to four people with drinks and each of a large main course. Ambience is a bit older, but very cozy.

The Effershof. Unfortunately the last restaurant in the traditional sense in Vorst. In Vorst there is still a pizzeria on St. Eustachius Platz, a pizzeria - the Rajas - at the entrance to the village and Dönertime, a rotisserie snack bar and a chip shop in Vorst. After the original operators of the Effis, as the Effershof is affectionately known, first gave up and ceded operations years ago, the Effi went through an eventful history, which unfortunately was not characterized by skill or fortune. History is history - now the Effershof is open again and the trusted hands or their representatives are back. There is the taproom, an adjoining hall and a very nice, somewhat hidden beer garden. The menu is varied and balanced. From the usual schnitzel in different variations, salads and various steaks, there are both children's plates, senior dishes or dishes for the small hunger, the Strammen Vorster or hash browns with salmon on salad and various pasta dishes. There are different beers, Alt Pils or wheat and on Fridays Füchschen Alt. The good old pub and especially the beer garden are definitely worth a visit. The judgment is left to everyone and is, as always, in the eye of the beholder.
